Obama dares Republicans to block his coming jobs package
Reporting from Davenport, Iowa— After pledging to send a job-creation package to Congress next month and daring Republicans to block it, President Obama offered few specifics Tuesday about the form the plan might take as he stuck to a broad outline of how to improve the economy.
On the second day of Obama's three-day bus tour of the upper Midwest, the president worked off the blueprint he had used the day before, offering proposals such as extending a payroll tax cut, spending money to repair roads and bridges, and ratifying pending trade agreements.
And he continued to hammer away at Republicans in Congress, suggesting they stand in the way of economic growth, even as some Democrats expressed discomfort with what they saw as a potentially divisive stance.
"We could do even more if Congress is willing to get in the game," Obama said to a gathering of small-business owners, community leaders and rural development experts at a small college in Peosta, Iowa.

The "jobs package" it's taken 2+ years to create that no one has even seen yet??
I bet when he was in school he'd say, "It's taken me two extra days to finish my homework and I dare you to give me a B on it!!"
It's time this President gets laughed off the stage.

If it is like most of his plans, it will be DOA....he won't need the Republicans (or any one else) to block it. His past plans sorely lack any degree of thought as to "implementation" let alone reality of cause.
Personally, IMHO this will be another non-event, kind of like his last several speeches. He is a legend in his own mind, but no where else.

More "shovel ready" projects? Didn't work too well the last time we spent about a trillion bucks on it, but that wasn't really about jobs it was just payments to the unions and politicos that helped get him elected. Hmmm, isn't there an election not too far in the future, nah, couldn't have anything to do with it.

It is as if he has never prepared a single legal breifing, bussiness plan or piece of legislation in his entire precious, special, privileged life.

... and ratifying pending trade agreements.

That would be the trade agreements he's been sitting on for 2 1/2 years. Evidently he thinks people are too stupid to know the only reason they haven't been ratified yet is because he hasn't sent them to the Senate to be ratified (that's how treaties work here).
If he "pivots" to jobs one more time, he'll be too dizzy to do anything.

So this morning, President Has-No-Clothes admonishes Congress for playing politics with America's future while on the Big Black Bus Tour through Iowa.
Why Iowa??
That's what Maxine Waters wants to know...
The president visited predominantly white communities in Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois on his bus tour this week, Waters also noted at the town hall, saying: “We don’t know why on this trip that he’s in the United States now, he’s not in any black community…we don’t know that.”

If I were her I'd rest assured that more handouts will be included in the President's job plan.
But real private secter jobs??
Nothing.
As usual.

Good thing his bus tour isn't (cough, cough) political. But at least we get to hear yet another speech. Wonder when he'll ever figure out that giving good teleprompter isn't necessarily being a good communicator? Or when he'll figure out that being the next whomever is no substitute for being himself? Especially since it looks like the whomever is Jimmy Carter.

Show me one trade agreement. Just one.... that did not cost America jobs. Do yourself a favor and don't say NAFTA. That's one bill that even the guys who wrote it don't want to talk about.
Trade agreements aren't created for the benefit of Americans. They never have been. Unless of course you count the guys who write the trade bills. To even mention trade in this thread, shows your ignorance on this topic. I'd suggest you drop it and quit while you're being wholloped.

was kinda hoping nafta would've boosted the mexican economy so the illegals would go home and work. i wouldn't mind that at all. probably would create jobs here after all. cooking french fries is better than drawing welfare.....
