He Carried Yellow Flowers

Given the polling, most people feel you can keep him... all to yourself

The poll, which took place Saturday at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, showed Cain ahead of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul by just three votes, with a total of 232 votes.
-laugh- REAL representative that one - an entire 232 votes, hold the presses!!! And in the other there was less votes cast than that IN TOTAL (230).

Colour me unimpressed ssneade. Pawlenty pulled out having received 2,293 votes in something that actually reflected a representative poll rather than a conservative circle-jerk. In that one that Cain scored even less.

We get more people turn up to a rally against local zone changes than you have voting in those polls!

oh hey, bent got something right. news must travel slow down there. ya pawlenty took third in that one. he also bet the farm on that one poll. and practically lived in iowa the month leading up to the poll. he left broken and nearly penniless. don't think he was the man either. piss poor campaign strategy...

meanwhile, herman cain calls out dems and the thug union bosses on their rhetoric. they got nothing.....

And still he beat Cain. It's kind of pitiful how the desperate cling to a hundred votes here and there, when polling consistently puts him in amongst the other "would be if they could be" contenders.

Zippididoodah, mate. He still lacks traction and I stand by my earlier prediction that he shall not be the chosen candidate. It's not like he really is saying anything the other Republicans aren't. And the real contenders actually have been members of the government.

After all, even the Fox News poll puts the presidential preference for Cain at less than a quarter of Romney & less than a sixth of Perry. Cain's going to have to pull a mighty big rabbit out of his hat to get past that kind of consistent lead.

you forget (whilst clinging to the ames poll) cain placed ahead of both romney and perry, although perry hadn't announced his candidacy at that time. pawlenty spent millions and fell flat. cain spent only a few thousand and placed a respectable fifth...

at any rate, even if he doesn't make it he will be a definite shoe in for a decent cabinet position. i think he'll come home and easily take the flimm flamming saxby chamblis' senate seat in 2014.....

I don't forget it at all. Perry, as you said, hadn't announced yet and so wasn't really in contention for it and Romney deliberately did not participate (& isn't in any straw polls). Trying to equate them with Cain's performance is pretty desperate, but we're getting used to that from the Cain supporters now

Cain, however, did participate in said straw poll, putting money and time into it... and still didn't rate against such an intellectual light-weight as Bachmann. Hell, he even placed behind Google-hassled Santorum

Yup, becoming a part of the government machine you mentioned was the problem and I mentioned was a de facto prerequisite. Funny that
