I knew one only needed to wait for the good bit... Like all movies/political ramifications, you can always count on someone trying the reversal (generally at the "midpoint" in screenwriting).

Predictable as the sunrise, there is an attempt to flip the subject away from the initial villain and onto something else - seems that Sailormon6 would prefer it to be Clinton, as opposed to the OP regarding Perry

Figures, I temporarily put something down and the conservatives claim it as their own and try to make money from what wasn't theirs in the first place.

If you really want to talk about the evils of the money trail, that trail leads to the left as well as right.
I didn't mean to limit my comments only to literal Corporations - perhaps I should have said Institutional Donors.

I think that any contributions beyond what an average citizen can pony up - say $1000 tops - should be put in a pool and doled out on some kind of formula to all legitimate candidates. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to come up with a fair & proper process for this and then anyone who wanted to "support the democratic process" could donate all they wanted but no-one would be beholden to them.

Fat chance of it ever happening though.
