There are a few other supporters of the libertarian perspective around; none as doctrinaire as Rags. There was a time when the liberal/left/social democrat population was very sparse around here.

That depends on how you look at it. There seems to have been something of a, "I'm outta here --expletive deleted--!!!", "You sure as --expletive deleted-- are!!!", type of exchange between Rags and a Mod. I forget the thread, but you can probably find it by looking up Rags' last posts, if you're really all that interested. I don't know if it's a temporary ban or not. Perhaps he has to read a few hundred Judith Martin/Miss Manners columns before he can return?

And, no, I wasn't involved. I only found it several days after the fact.

You call it Libertarian around here we would call it Fascist but the truth is that I kind like the guy, fascist and all He even apologize once (PM) when he understood that he had really pissed me.

My understanding is that he is taking (according to the mod's own words) "a short vacation". That implies a time-out, like those you give eight year olds, so he can reflect on his ways then he'll be back.

Given my experience with guys like him, he'll be back when he realises he can't get the attention he desires elsewhere. Most likely, he'll portray it as a gift to the forums as well. That type usually does -shrug-
