Looks like Palin finally got around to declaring her lack of intention in regards to seeking Presidential Nomination. No-one is really surprised. More money and attention when she doesn't need her comments to make sense

The point is, like a fair majority of other threads in this forum, to raise awareness of a political event that some people might have missed. She's been pretending she might run for some time; now she's declared what some of us knew was a foregone conclusion.

Which is a shame, she is political comedy gold partially because of and partially in spite of the fact she is woefully unfit for executive political office. I was kind of hoping she'd make a run for it and bring Tina Fey back to SNL

On a more personally directed note, if you think I consider Obama my idol - you really haven't a clue as to my political predilections

Absolutely - a while ago the idea of a Palin / Bachmann ticket was floated here - just imagine what the comedy circuit could have done with THAT.

If that was your intent, you might have brought up something more current ... like Reid changing the Senate Rules to block a vote on Obama's Jobs Bill yesterday. Oh, I forgot, no one to ridicule there.

Too bad I didn't say it wasn't current enough, but merely opined there was more newsworthy, more current events, of far more reaching impact, then what you chose. But hey, that's okay, I'm used to you telling me what I said ... even when it isn't what I said.

Your only adjective was "more current", no mention of newsworthiness or the reach of it's impact. But hey, that's OK, I'm used to you redefining English to mean something other than what the rest of the world understands - regardless of how stupid it makes you look.

Let's see - you claim "more current" means more newsworthy and far reaching in impact, you fail to discuss the original OP & instead try changing the subject to something currently being discussed elsewhere, and then take issue with the poster adding nothing to the discussion at hand. A far better example of failing to practice what one preaches is hard to find - congratulations PBzeer, only you could make the trifecta look so easy. Some people will do anything for attention
