Oregon University exceeded its authority in banning firearms on campus
The tide has turned and is really picking up steam now.
"In what promises to be a continuing debate on the rights of law-abiding citizens, the Oregon Court of Appeals ruled this week that banning firearms on the grounds of Oregon's public universities exceeded the scope of the university system's authority, thereby opening up the state's campuses to individuals who hold valid concealed handgun licenses."

Great, now we can look forward to some more mass murder by whacked out loners on campus. Anything that makes it easier for them.

Holders of cwp's are not 'whacked out loners'. History has repeatedly shown that whacked out loners who bring violence to campuses show little concern for gun laws or supreme court decisions. The presence of armed Cwp holders on campus certainly will provide the only effective response to the 'whackos'.

Would you please provide one example in which cwp's holders effectively responded to a "whacko."
It did not work in this case, and the weapons were in the hands of trained individuals.

There are many, many cases of cwp holders fending off armed robbers. The real whacko's tend to pick places like schools where there are no weapons allowed.
Funny thing, when I was in high school all of the country kids used to bring guns to school. Sometimes they would show them off to the principal at lunch time. I don't remember ever hearing of school shootings back then.
