Bad news for the Obama '12 campaign...
... it looks like Romney's only serious challengers (as of the moment) are politically imploding.
As I have said before, Romney is really the only member of the Clown Brigade who has the chops to be a serious contender against the President in the general election. Now, unless the GOP can come up with another "flavor of the month", it looks like Mr. Milquetoast will be their nominee. The good news is that Romney may well have to contend with a third party contender from the extreme political right (e.g., Teabaggers, WRW, whatever) once/if he does get the nomination. Time will tell.

Spoken like a true lib. First denigrate, then tout the easiest candidate to run against as being the only "serious' challenger. We've read that story before.
Forgot to mention, Cain had his biggest online fundraising day Monday.

Condescension. Should watch out for that, apparently it's a liberal thing according to some here
For what it's worth, mate, conservative sources are also stating that Romney is the most likely candidate should this continue to make news (sex scandal in US politics - what do you think the odds are?).
That might be where you read the story - in Fox News articles acknowledging Romney's consistent polls putting him as the likely replacement should the "high tech lynching" of black conservatives continue (Coulter does so like the race card).

And stock markets get a dead cat bounce when things are going to sh%t too. A day does not a campaign make. Even us folk who weren't around in the fifties know that.

US Cain accuser 'wants gag order lifted'
Let's see if Cain will live up to his own claim:
"I am not trying to hide anything. I am trying to put it all out there for people to see"
I personally have my doubts.

OK OK OK .... so if Slow is correct then Romney gets the nod and just like Australia the only thing that will stop Obama (here Gillard) from losing is the competition.
Hey Bent .... can you see the video ... it spits me out, says I'm not allowed to view it cos I'm Orstrylian.

You have an odd definition of condescend.
It isn't up to Cain whether the gag order gets lifted, but I hope it does ... right after the person pays back their settlement. The one that was so significant, the lawyer involved doesn't even remember how it was resolved or with whom.

See, I have a history of going to the dictionary for definitions. On the other hand, you have a history of ignoring or claiming the dictionary wrong. What you see as "odd" really doesn't hold much weight in this regard mate
condescension
1. the act or an instance of behaving in a patronizing way

Cain can request the gag order be lifted if he so desires. You're right, the ultimate decision is up to the National Restaurant Association, but I don't see them denying a request by BOTH parties to be released from the order. It would make Cain look even worse and that the organisation was covering something up.
Regardless of the other conditions, it's not going to happen without Cain's agreement and I still don't think he'll be giving it. He's the one running for presidential candidate remember, so I'm going to focus on his claims vs his actions.

Sorry, tdw, I haven't seen the clip nor can I online (without going through the hassle of connecting to a US proxy). I am not surprised it is on his show, but I've been getting my facts from the running commentary the media (left, right, and those in between).
There are little facts on the ground, but the most damning appears to be Cain's evolving memory of the event(s). Had he stuck to the one story regarding his recollections, I believe it would have made news then faded lacking new details to pad out the opinion columns. As always, the effort in covering up an incident is more damaging than the incident itself .

Oh well, looks like political cynicism wins out again. Cain is not following through on his claim to lay out all the facts, explicitly ruling out asking the association to share the details.
Colour me unsurprised.

I believe it is normally the "payer" in a lawsuit that requests and requires the gag order is it not?
