I would hope the citizens of the USA would aspire to something better than a 60ish male slut for their President, even if Congress has so many it looks like a downtown street corner on Friday night. You can't really bring up people like Kennedy because only the insiders knew about it - it was kept from the public.

I think that it isn't just the accusations of 'inappropriate behavior' (although when the list gets to four and is still rising...) it is the way his 'team' is handling it. Which is to say, badly.

He needed to say, "In the mid '90s I made some mistakes, I apologized and this is what I learned..."

That is not what we saw on TV. His behavior in the '90s raises questions about his fitness for the office, his handling of it this year just blows it out of the water. I won't even go into his foreign affairs 'qualifications'.

For the record, I lean to the left and voted for Obama; I'm disappointed with his performance and would vote GOP if they had a candidate I thought was better. So far it looks like Romney and he strikes me as a snake-oil salesman; just another political hack who will say what it takes to get elected.

It is always the lesser of two evils.

Not always, just usually. In an old post along similar lines, I pointed out that in 40 years of voting I have voted FOR a candidate 4 times, not just for the least worse choice.
