Considering how useless the Congress is, has anyone come up with an "Anyone but the incumbent' movement. Within it the only agreement is that you will support someone (anyone) else but the incumbent senator/congressman. If the incumbent is from your party then you would seek change at the primary stage. If the incumbent is the nominess then you vote for the opponent. Would get rid of the current cast of mediocrities from Reid and Pelosi on one side to Boehner and McCain on the other. The concept could even be extended to the presidency where disaffected Dems would have to find an alternative to Obama at the primary stage or vote for the Republican. Won't happen, but it makes a much sense as much exists today.

I have been saying it for years now. ALL...repeat...ALL incumbents need to be voted out. I don't care if Alfred E. Neuman is the candidate. The system is beyond repair by insiders. It needs to start from scratch with no allegiances, no political debts, no lifetime pols calling the shots behind closed doors. People just refuse to vote against their own little pet pol. We need a draft for political candidates, totally impartial, with qualifications, just like a military draft. The career pols need to go or we are doomed. They do not represent the majority and are totally incapable of common sense legislation.
