I have always heard that most liberals don't know their ass from a hole in the ground but I figured most knew the difference between their left and right.

On the other hand, it seems we have only president that recognises "curtain hanging" is generally done indoors, away from trees, and without a chainsaw. Manly or not, the intelligence quotient seems on his side

But then some conservatives cannot distinguish among liberals, social democrats, socialists and communists.

There is no distinction to them Jack. There is only VERY conservative and BAD - any finer distinctions are unnecessary.

Too true. One only needs to classify the opposition as "the other" in order for the tribal instinct to be invoked. All that matters is that you are not part of the right tribe, which one of the other tribes is immaterial
