Halftime in America
Looks like Chrysler found a way to thank Obama for keeping them on their feet.

Cynicism- yeah, that's an approach that makes a country great again.
PB, please explain it to the rest of us - how has your unmitigated cynicism made your life, your community and/or your country any better?

That is an exceptional bit of film-making.

bl - The temptation, is to reply in kind, but I'll forgo that momentary pleasure.
Should you decide to make a comment on the content of the ad in question, then I'd be happy to explain my reasoning.

chrysler and GM SHOULD be thanking this president for allowing them to both ignore the law, but then again, he is all but the poster child for selective enforcement of the law.
Some of us lost an entire fortune when they were allowed to ignore the bankruptcy laws...
and the idea of using OUR money to make advertisements that do nothing BUT thank the president and the unions is insane....GM has done the same thing, just not as well done as this..

Honestly, the only way I can see that being of benefit to Obama is if Republicans need to divide the USA to get rid of him. The ad said things are crap but it's time to pull together to make the USA strong. Are you saying the Republicans don't want that? Or are messages of hope solely the franchise of Obama?
That's the problem with you "absolute types" (as you seem to characterise yourself), you just cannot see an advertisement mixed in with a feel-good message as something outside your disagreement with Obama. It's voiced by Clint Eastwood, a libertarian who currently supports Ron Paul, for crying out loud!

Oh yeah and Chrysler has paid back those loans - they are using their own money to make these ads. Do try to keep up, it's not like the repayment is a recent thing

PB, you can't "reply in kind"- I am not an impotent cynic.
Thanks for once more ducking the point. Anything other than useless sneering and cut and paste is beyond you, isn't it? C'mon PB, tells us how your cynicism and endless negativity and bitterness and frustration that the world isn't the way you want it has improved your world.
You are the quckest on the draw when it comes to sniping at anything outside of your own paradigm, yet what has your paradigm constructed?
Show me your new ideas and how they are gonna rebuild a battered america.
Yeah, I didn't think you had any. Criticism is easy. Change, not so much.
You are a great example of why American Conservatism is in the state it is in. Pogo was right.

I think if you look at real numbers both GM and Chrysler have both lied about paying the "loans" back - something about stock price, and future payments to the union....to the tune of 100 billion USD
just one of the "deals" this president and his minions have brokered...to the detriment of the previous stockholders and the taxpayer...do your own research for more:

I have to admit, that while no party is immune, when I hear things described in platitudes and claptrap, I generally suspect the current regime!!
