I dunno. I posted 11 links to articles about Occupy and anti war cooperation or common protest. Two of those referenced organization leadership involved in both movements.

To me, that makes them of the same ilk.

Your words: Most of these don't qualify as "proof", but there's definitely a trend.

Some demonstrated a clear divide where the anti-war protestors joined for the day with a local OWS group. Others showed one to a handful of common people had attended both. Most news reports were quite explicit in separating the two movements and how their membership differed (age, outlook, desires). The call-to-action links, at best, constitute a desire by their authors to collect a share of the anti-war protestors into their movement.

I could go through each link if you like demonstrating how tenuous a basis they are for concluding as you have, but you already admitted that they weren't proof. As such, I gathered you had decided to leave it as you seeing a possible trend and deciding said trend was enough for you. Such trends are also enough for some people equating Loughner & Breivik to the Tea Party, but I personally require a little more than that.

A trend to consider:

A Glenn Beck watcher turned out to be a gun-nut who was willing to shoot his way through anyone attempting to stop his attempt to kill one of the targets Glenn Beck said should be gotten rid of. That does not mean all Glenn Beck listeners/viewers or even a majority of them are gun-nuts willing to kill politicians and activists for the cause.

There are Tea Party chapters dedicated to returning the USA to the Christian Country it was made according to the Founders. That does not mean all Tea Party chapters or even a majority are made up of religious nuts or history revisionists.

There are anti-abortionists who are willing, attempted, &/or succeeded in bombing abortion clinics for their cause. That does not mean everyone against abortion or even a majority thereof are willing to resort to terrorist tactics for their cause.

Westboro and Christians, Breivik and those calling for immigration control, etc.

I've attended an anti-war rally. I didn't attend any of the local OWS movements here. Thought they were pretty stupid actually.
