I like that the Italian meal comes with "a breakfast shot of 40% alcohol." What's the Italian marine motto? "We drink more before breakfast than most people drink all day!"

Still infinitely better than my sailing cuisine. I lose interest in food while sailing so all I take is Pop Tarts to hold onto while steering, peanut butter and bread for lunch and dinner, some apples, cold instant coffee and some rum.

I have to admit that Pop Tarts have always been one of my guilty pleasures when sailing. Easy to eat, easy to store, and I don't know how many years it takes one to go bad.

On the northern Gulf of Mexico.

A serious improvement on the MRE of the 70's US, which was freeze dried with all too few calories.

Zen is a matter of recognizing reality.

Re: For Your Amusement ---

During the cold war an American and a Soviet general were bragging.

Soviet general: "We feed our troops 1800 calories a day!"

American general: "That's nothing, we feed our troops 2500 calories a day!"

Soviet general: "Impossible. Nobody can eat that many potatoes."
