Over here when the summer heat sets in and the sea is so calm that you can see the mountains' reflection, then nothing beats Arak. It's a local anise flavoured drink something like Ouzo in Greece or Pastis in France. Just about every mediterranean country has their own brew. It took me a fair time to get a taste, but now Arak is a favourite.
Refrigerate bottle and pour into glass and serve with cold water. You can dilute to taste... but it is a good idea to dilute it...trust me
