Beer, Cans or Bottles

Concerning the taste of beer in bottle vs can, let's get real here. It tastes basically the same through either vessel.

Therefore, the taste anomaly is most likely due to the tactile sensation of your lips upon the bottle or the can. I must say, being a mustached soul, that the can certainly has some drawbacks in this regard. I have more than once experienced the plucking of facial growth from an ill placed tab whilst consuming brew from a can and have damned the can as a result. In support of the bottle, my lips are certainly more comfortable against the soft rolling edge of the orifice.

Nonetheless, there is a place for both bottles and cans not based on flavor, but based on situation. Where durability and compactness are required, I opt for the can. In more relaxed situations a bottle has more tactile pleasuring to offer.

In either case where flavor maximization is possible, without regard to limits of space and time, pouring the brew from any vessel into a suitable glass allows the brew to breath and effervese which releases the flavors that neither bottles or cans achieve.

We have a RULE on board..... NO RULES!

So regarding beverages, we buy bottled beer, canned beer, wine bottles, liquor bottles of all shapes and sizes, and we use plastic cups, styrofoam cups, ceramic coffee mugs, plastic drink mugs, "big Gulps", crystal wine glasses, "pricey" Hi-Ball glasses, Iced tea glasses and anything else anybody wants to use!

And believe it or not, we may have "cracked" one (1) glass while dishwashing.....
never dropped one anywhere on the boat, but if it did, I don't consider it a big deal.........
I want guests to feel at home while on-board and have a good time.....

If a nice wine glass is what they prefer, I've probably got a dozen "crystal" wine-glasses on the rack that would make any home proud.........
and not only wine glasses........
but "RED" wine glasses........
and "WHITE" wine glasses.........

We really enjoy our "HAPPY HOUR"!
