I use my Force 10 Sea Chef Barbecue for a one burner stove all the time, after removing the "flavor plate." Actually, I think it makes a better propane stove than it does BBQ. On my little C22, the BBQ in the cockpit is the entire "galley."

This is a small round BBQ that's about the same as the small round Magma- except that it has a hinged lid, instead of a removable one.

That insert works great, it replaces the lava rock/ceramic briquettes and heats to BBQ grill temp. in <3-5 mins.. The center insert comes off for a pan holder cooking area. I use the grill cover to deflect the wind or it tends to blow the flame out.

I also have this Kenyon single burner butane stove (9,900 BTU) that can be used almost anyplace w/ a flat surface. The tanks do last longer than you would think.
