Have over 7 Days Food Aboard?

How many of you sailors stock your boat with food? How many have more than seven days food aboard?

I could last for a month with what I have right now, and I don't start active cruising again for a couple of months, when I'll have even more.

Well, I'm looking for fellow terrorists here. I know that we all fit the profile.

Seriously, it's nice to keep her stocked so that you can have a spontaneous get away some times.

Couple to three weeks worth of leftovers from the last cruise. Fuel tanks are full for winter, fill the water tanks, grab some rum and I am good to go. Dan S/V Marian Claire

I have a some freeze dried meals packaged in #10 cans at home. It would last me and my wife over a year. We also have flour, rice and baking mixes also packaged in #10 cans. I could fit about three months worth on the boat. Water would be a bigger problem than food.

Full time liveaboard and I keep about two weeks worth of staples at all times.

After a week it would be rice and beans though.

Actually, none of the above. It's a test. I'm gathering information for DHS. According to the feds, you may be a terrorist if you store more than seven days food.

I always think I might have company so I keep a lot of stores & stock a full bar ! The reality is; no one shows up, I single hand & I'm good for a month or two! It's all about sailing, so who give a dam!..Dale
