The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

Many a friendly discussion , well friendly in a Napoloen v Wellington fashion, has broken out across ye olde worlde wide webe re the relative merits of DW's explosive talents in the galley. Now he does it all again in the new and improved KTLer. What's more, in keeping with the spirit of the new he's gone all Al Fresco on us.

For your viewing pleasure .... Bomb Bay Curry and Rice.

Warning - Not so much Haute Cuisine as Bas ....

No animals were harmed in the making of this vid. Tin Cans and Plastic Bags were euthanised as humanely as possible.

Re: The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

Considering the curry, I guess it could be hottie cuisine, eh? Or would that be haughty?

Womby, when you say "explosive" talents in the galley, I hope you're not referring to what happens in the head afterwards...

How do you find the time to cook like that?

Dear Wombat,

You are a culinary marvel. I especially like the hot pad used (paper napkin). That was a nice touch. ALmost made me want to grab a can of beanie weenies and vienna sausages.

Re: The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

Putting 3 packages into a pot is not "cooking".
Frankly all the fresh air you get on the boat makes the chemical smells of packaged food worse. It makes me want to hurl.

Re: The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

Dear Cruising Deluded .... Wombat is not a culinary marvel ... it is known throughout the bush that Wombat is tough, stringy and rather tasteless. Hell on earth man, you know me and you know I have very poor taste. Bulldog on the other hand goes down a treat.

Parrot ... lighten up son, lighten up. Dylan sails a sub 20'er with a single burner alcohol stove ffs. Cooking , yea even simply heating up anything on that thing amazes me quite frankly. Anywho , cricket is better than hurling.

Re: The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

You mean "boat food" can be something other than beef jerky, stale chocolate chip cookies, and warm beer?

Never forget them. Do something to prevent it from happening again.

Re: The Gourmet (cough) Sailor

Well you must be a gourmet, the bottle of beer was brown and not a can. Why on earth did you dirty a bowl? Just pour the curry into the bag, and no dishes to do!

I would love to find a good curry in a can around here.
