Relentless race 12, 2011
I believe I posted this in a thread some time back.
Last race of the 2011 season.
We started in 5~10 knots and as we rounded the second mark to weather, we got slammed with gusts in the upper 20’s. Basically, our rookie crew got caught with our pants down. It was half the leg before we got her back on her feet again.
I never get tired of watching this; so many mistakes were made, and we are much wiser for the experience.
On the lighter side; I guess that’s one way to wash the jib winches.
