If they don't require it, then don't carry it if getting to and from the launch site is not an issue. Rely on good friends to tow you if necessary.

Ditto, you should be able to get a tow if necessary for race day.
We have seen as many as 6 - 8 small racers towed for and aft to and from the race course. It's not uncommon.

BTW, I thought this thread was going to be about George.

I am being placed in the cabin class so will need the motor to qualify. We want to race in that class anyway. I will let you know how it comes out.
