Have you ever eased the mainsheet on a 4:1 purchase lets say 4 inches? Well, it's only moving the boom an inch. On the Farr, there is no ourchase, it's a 1:1, so and inch = an inch.

So yes, it makes a big difference. Good trim and great trim is a difference of 1-2%. That's it. It's mid fleet, or winning silver.
