Title work on an 8.0B

Can anyone with an 8.0B or C tell me what the length of your boat is as far as what's on the title? My title says 25', I think it is supposed to be 26'. As of now the title may be wrong, I need to have the Coast Guard do an official survey of the hull number to see what the true length is supposed to be before anymore title work can be done. Hull number is:

I have never looked at mine but when I get home in two days I will look. if you do the math I think it comes out to 26 feet, (8 x 3feet 3in) 24 feet + 24 inches = 26 feet. None the less I will look when I return home and let you know. Be Safe

Thanks Cam. Windswimmer, I am going to the CG sataion this morning. The Ohio DNR Devision of Watercraft has never had the true length of this boat on the title. I am absolutely positive it is 26'. I hope to have this cleared up before I get the title changed over to me.

My 1979 S2 8.0B does not have a title at all, just a state registration.

Windswimmer,
I'm very curious. Please let me know of your title. I'm having the Coast Guard Officer at my boat for a complete inspection including a safety inspection. It will be worth it to get the boat in compliance with the CG's requirements. tinangiel, I have an oppertunity to register my boat with the CG, and that alone will forebare all the titeling and registration hassels in the future, but that will cost me over $100. I'll get the inspector out there for free.

would that be a different one from the one I copied and sent to you sometime ago? My title (florida) has 26' in the length section of the title. If you have a different manual than the one I have on file I would be interested in it. Thanks Good Luck & be safe

Sorry windswimmer, it was the brochure I ment for a 1983 S2 8.0B. My charge into fixing the length of the boat on the title has shown two lengths. First one was 24' 9", then another serch showd 25'. All questioned me when I told them it was 26'. This is why I posted this thread. Thanks for comming thru with your titled length windswimmer, the CG examiner also said it was 26 feet, he just needs to go thru the formalitys to make it official. I feal much better now.
