Parts for sink drain
I have a 1978 S2 8.0.
The drain in the galley sink has a plastic two piece "trap". The top piece threads onto the sink compression drain opening fitting.
The bottom piece is connected to the top piece via several small "wing screw" devices, and seems designed to act as a drain trap to catch heavy and/or valuable items before they are whisked away to the rear scupper drain by way of a clear plastic tube. The bottom piece has a molded-in barbed fitting that fits into the drain hose. The drain hose/tubing is attached at a right angle to the bottom piece with a hose clamp.
On my boat, the barbed fitting has deteriorated with age and has broken off from the bottom piece. I have scoured the internet looking for a replacement fitting.
Does anybody know the brand of this fitting or know where I can get a replacement.
Or should I just get a whole new drain assembly?
