S2 Cowl replacement

My S2 8.6 (1984) air cowls are UGLY! They are cracked and look 'adsfadfadfadf'. Any suggestions on replacement? It seems that SS Cowls are VERY EXPENSIVE. The existing cowls feel like flexible rubber. Any ideas to repair or replace?

Thanks Dennis for the link. I have added 'Defender' to my list of sailing links. Once I get a chance to measure my existing cowls I will use them too for my replacements.
