If you don't mind, I would like to 'pick your brain'. I have a 9.2C and may need to repower (currently have a Yanmar 2QM15). My questions have to do with how you were able to do it. Would you be willing to email me directly at GARYLINGER at GMAIL dot COM.

Thanks.

is this still somewhat up to date? I would be interested in your electric panel if it is still around...
Thanks!

Were you inquiring about the Yanmar electric panel (from my 2QM15)? I think I still have it and the wiring harness. It has been so long since I posted that, I forget what it said. You can email me at garylinger at gmail dot com.

Dear All,

this engine is still available. due to relocations, work, jobs, yada yada yada....it has been a long time since I've been on. forgot my user name and the system did too !

I WILL begin the process of repowering, removing the runctional and planned temporary Universal that I installed so many years ago.

Which Engine ??? Re: 9.2 C parts available / 3 cyl Diesel available

Need Your Input !

am placing a 3 cylinder at least 20 HP motor. It will be horizontally mounted as low as possible with a CV system tying to the prop shaft.

Motor will be shifted forward 18 inches to better balance the load. I have very little gear / housing supplies aboard and she's always bow high.

Batteries will be lowered as low as possible, and more available, not buried in the back closet.

Head will be a standing shower arrangement, and reconfigured layout.

cabin / house projects done, time to get sailing. Got the retirement summer home ready for retirement, now I need my sailing summer retirement boat done.

Kubota ? Yanmar ?

Both are based in the farm tractors / industrial power plants in the Japanese OEM's of Kubota and Yanmar.

Kubota Marinized motors= Beta, Phasor, Nissin, Universal.
Yanmar=Yanmar

Yanmar has a great worldwide parts availability, surpassing Kubota.

Kubota has more dealerships and parts availability in the USA than Kubota.
