Headmate bolts on Sabre 28

Maybe someone out there can give me some advice. I have a 1979 Sabre 28 and replaced the original HeadMate head with a similar model perhaps 8 years ago. Last summer I noticed that I couldn't tighten one of the bolts holding the frame to the box. This year I' having a similar problem with the other aft bolt. My problem is that I can see no way to access the under head area as it seems completely boxed in. At the same time to allow continuous rocking will, I'm sure, cause harm to the complete system.

Any Sabre owners out there...particularly Sabre 28 owners...have any advice.

I can't help you directly, but suggest you try over at the Yahoo group for Sabres which is very active...

That sounds like a good idea.

Glen Chapin at Sabre was very helpful in pointing out to me that I wasn't dealing with nuts and bolts, but rather lag bolts which screw in. So I was able to remove the old one and replace it with one 1/2 inch longer and it did the trick.
