Will this float?

I was gonna offer $1200 on this, but I don't want to offend. Comments, please

1999 sailboat FORSALE OR TRADE FOR QUAD OR WVERUNNER

I LMAO'd and threw up in my mouth at the same time when I came across this today. At least all necessary replacement and maintenance parts are available at Home Depot.

Re: Will this float?

Looks like a sharpie. and lee boards on the outside. (pretty common in Denmark) Should draft maybe 4" when fully loaded. Love the home made tabernacle. No it's not pretty.

Seriously? Looks like Brent Swain has a wooden boat doppelganger.

Re: Will this float?

Some are quite lovely. that one could be redesigned with a graceful bow instead of the "cut off look"

Re: Will this float?

Pretty sure that is a Phil Bolger design, ask him if he has the plans? If it is built to plan it will sail reasonably well.

BTW the trailer is worth $1200 or more if the brakes work

I believe it is one of these: Puddle Duck Racer - Easiest Sailboat to Build and Race

There is a group of folks who sail those things in the Texas 200. This is a good read: http://smallcraftadvisor.com/our-blo...8#comment-2230

Re: Will this float?

The photos Bubs posted may be of a well-known boat, but there is nothing attractive about it.
