Where did I have my head to come with such a poor tripping bullet design???

Rags...lay off the sauce man.....

From now on...all keel boats come with a disclaimer:

WARNING TRIPPING HAZARD....AVOID AT ALL COSTS...POOR DESIGN....USELESS

My "tripping bullet" poor design keel, allows me to sail in 30 knots without reefing....what's in your wallet???

EHEHEHEHEE

Rags...Couts, Bertarelli, Grael, Farr, Botin, Carkeek, Pugh, etc....and a few other guys that design and sail ACC's Volvo's and TP's will call you soon, so you suggest a fix for their boats...ehehehehe

That was funny

max-on will become famous soon enough
My 33 needs a keel like that; I would not enjoy the shark tripping me all the time though!!

Nice toe stubber. No wonder you trip on it.

Just in case anyone wonders how it "works" inside....

Here is the "heart" of the canting keel of a Volvo Ocean racer, in this case, Ericsson 1

And the side dagger boards....UP in this photo bellow

You don't see any one in the photos, because they all tripped and fell in the ocean, due to the poor design...just I stayed on board, with a famous guy...

Good to see they spared no expense on the stainless steel and maintenance as shown in the second photo.

It's my US Navy roots showing. A professionally raced ocean going boat should be shined, cleaned and maintained. Rust has no place anywhere aboard. Especially not on the linkage for the part that failed ( I think that's right, could be wrong).

Chuck...are you aware that that area is wet all the time with salt water??

The keel mechanism is in a "well" that is under water all the time?? Sea water fills that area all the time. Once removed from the water, it rusts...

Rest assured they cleaned it and lubricated...I saw
