O' my God!!!

My boat is listing! About ten degrees to starboard. I've checked the water tanks and they are both full. There's no gear or stowage that's different from before she was pulled, and yet she is listing. It's lower about 4-6" inches on the starboard side. WTF? If they had blocked it wrong and it sat on the hard for 6 weeks like that can it distort the hull enough that the keel leans off centre? What else other than off-balance load or the keel can make a 16,000 lb boat list like that?

whats your depth? are you sitting on the bottom at the yard or in your usual slip?

You could be listing if the water is shallow enough and the boat is resting on the keel. It wouldn't be great for the boat, but that is one possible explanation, as BF has pointed out.

I don't believe that even blocking your boat wrong would distort the hull at all. The boat you have has a pretty thick hull IIRC.

Are you in your usual slip? If not, what does the fathometer say??

I haven't checked the depth, but I can see it's way deeper than the keel. This boat is a shoal keel, BTW. In fact I had to motor to a temporary slip to clear the travel lift dock. It's the same on both slips.

Heres another obvious dumb question, but I do not have a boat next to me on windward side. When the wind kicks up, it blows around the next boat and onto my port side causing a slight list, about 4-6 inches like you said. When we switched marinas it really freaked me out until I realized it was just the wind.

No, she's not on the bottom. I was pushing her around to get her to fit in this small slip. I checked the bilges and not much in there either. I don't understand it either, but it would take hundreds of pounds to create that list.

And this slip is sheltered from the (small breeze), and 90 degrees different angle from the travel lift slip. Same list.

Well, if you're not shipping water, take a breather and sleep on it.

unless they moved yor engine 12 or 14 inches to one side what else could they have done???

Check the keel bolts when you haul her. Not likely that your hull is distorted but if they dropped it then the keel bolts could be bent. Take pictues of the list just in case...

Also - what side is your fuel tank on ? Is it full ? There's a fair amount of weight there. Did they take out the batteries ? Are they back where they're supposed to be ?
