Hi All,
I'm just putting my bread out on the water here... I've been working on an experimental sailboat design for close to 12 years [on and off.] I built three versions to test control and operation systems, all of which worked very well. I believe the time has come to build the final boat and go for the record.
I understand this is a rather bold claim and I will admit I have no exceptional intelligents... truth is the solution to the 50kt barrier seems simple to me. Just look at why the ice boats can break the barrier and figure out a way to apply this to a sailboat.
I'm opening this up to anyone interested in getting involved in any way. Specifically there are some engineering needs relating to foil and sail design. North Light Sails sponsored some of the early sails and will probably do so again.
Anyone interested in reviewing the design concept is welcome. I could really use some endorsements for the concept so I can a] get people to stop calling me a nut and b] get some sponsorship and get this thing built! You can email me at

Thanks,
Rich
