Hello Maggie,

I can tell you about the Centreboard 40' builded in steel. I am a boatbuilder myself (over 40 years) The CB40 I builded last year (Designer Dick Koopmans he just finished the OSTAR race) Since 10 months I do try outs in several weather conditions. In a week my wife and children (twin 8 years) we will leave for 2 month to the Eastcoast of England. There you have an area "The Wash" with extremely stream, sandbanks and tidal waters. We will visit a lot of little harbours on the English coast and mostly beach our Centreboard. (Flat bottom 12mm steel plate, mostly stays upright or max. 10 degrees angle)

If I can answer questions, please do not hesistate to ask.

Jan

OVini
Good boat but when I went to buy one I found it to be overly priced. The german broker I was dealing with told me to look at a feelings 395di. I did and ended up buying it. Its a good boat made with fiberglass.
Both boats are good at exploring shallow coves and rivers. once you buy a shallow draft boat it is hard to go back to deep draft vessels.
Cheers
