Identify my boat

Well, from what I understand, the boat originally belonged to a well-to-do person who has ties back to Germany, is it possible that the boat's of European manufacture?

I will take more pictures this Saturday which give better views and I will load them onto an external web site so as to retain their size. Any particular shots that would be helpful?

You could always see if the sailmaker is still around, send them the photo. and may be find out
As far as the oday daysailer, there were three versions per I Heart O'Days A website for ODAY enthusiasts. I found a few other boats similer in stature on that site, but none with that logo.

Then I googled the name and found an address in City Island, NY but it seems that the establishment at that address is now these guys

which I also saw listed in a google entry as being associated with Ratsey & Lapthorne.

I don't suppose it makes much difference.

I uploaded all the photos I have of the boat which includes a number of shots from this morning. Hopefully that'll help. As you can see, I have an old Seagull outboard. This is leftover from the prior sailboat we owned some 25 years ago. I cleaned it up but haven't tested it to see if it'll start yet. I am curious about one thing. Apparently there is a missing cleat or something on both sides of the boat. The 2 holes are there but the fixture is gone. I'm assuming that since all the cleats seem to be 4 screw and the fixtures that allow you to do a quick release of a sheet (what is that called?) are 2 screw that these holes must have been for that. But I can't figure out what they would have been used for based on the position and the orientation of the holes. Anyone have an idea? Pics 814, 818 and 823 show these holes I'm talking about.

The sail maker may have decided to be an independent dealer of UK-Halsey products. Seems to be the thing to do with sailmakers these days. Most lofts are for repairs, and measuring, then the sails are made in one BIG loft elsewhere in the world. IE my UK TDS main was made in Taiwan IIRC from the shipping label. I think sending them a email with the logo could still be worth a shot. Or to some one from any of the larger lofts. Then again, someone posted a logo site to a question I had a week or so ago, and it shows what appeared to be a different logo for Jeanneau's, then in the mean time, am realizing that the current compass rose logo may have been instigated by Group Beneateau when they bought Jeanneau, and the logo I was seeing, and is on my 85 Arcadia brochures, may actually be the original by Henri Jeanneau!

Alright, I could swear your boat is identical to my friends, but he says it's a Rebel, and the pics don't match. Sorry.

Just wanted to post that I registered the boat today, I am fully legal to sail, drift or sink. Step by step we advance towards the water.... :-)
