TDW,
I'm a retired CPO (e-7) from the USN, 33.5 is all I could afford.
I personally agree, 40ft is better for blue water. I'd rather have 33.5 now than 40 ft in some maybe it happens universe

Less than $1/4 mil, and it was less than 4 years old. Cold molded, and built in Berlin by an German engineer. She was loaded with equipment, and even had 2 folding motorbikes. P.O.'s left tools, dishes, towels, and tons of cookware. There are deals to be had. Just can't confine yourself to what is local.

Owner's berth behind the salon table, and nav station behind the strbrd hull steps. 5x10 workshop in port hull with 2 workbenches, and 5x10 pantry in strbrd. Not a cookie cutter for sure.. 2 heads, one shower, and 3 berths.

Nice. I like the look of that. I'd very much like to see more pics. If you have them and are willing to email PM me and I'll send you my email address.

Hey Chuckles,
The current Womboat is a 15 year old 34'er so I'm in the same boat. I've been working on getting a new one almost all of this year and yes she will cost a lot more but I'm happy to have Raven for the meantime. Mind you the new one is going to cost less now than it would have 12 months ago. Then again my house is not worth as much either and don't even get me started on the stock market. Oh , did I mention I work in the design and construction industry ??? Hmmm, that Wharram SBox is down to $70,000.

Now where is that damn list Raining.

5 year old Gemini's going for 100k here, equipped and 'fixed up' rather nicely
That's less than a house payment per month
Brand new, with add on's my boat runs 1300 a month.
My retirement check pays for my boat, slip, maintenance and frills pretty much.
Seawind's cost more, but you can find one local pretty easy I reckon.

Tell me something about this cat cruising thingy....
I mean no harm, but how do these things handle steep 8 footers, those that when you look down, you feel like you are standing at the top of double diamond ski slope and cringe with the thought of falling off of, rather than sliding down...
I know what my boat does, being fat and plump, but what about a cat, with that wide footprint...
Just wondering....

Like a train on a rail. Just don't bury the bows to deep like any other boat. Set your cup of coffee up on the house, and enjoy the ride. A nice pic here sailing down 10+ft waves at about 13knts
