Can anyone give me an insight to the Sonic cat-drives. I am thinking of installing one, but cannot find any in use to get personal experience.

Hmm - I'm getting this mental image of Sonic the oversized hedgehog mushing a bunch of alley cats on a treadmil with a worm gear connected to the propeller shaft.

You multihullers certainly are an unusual bunch aren't you

Are you talking about a Sonic Stillete Saildrive leg??? These are often found on catamarans, like the Geminis. The Gemini owners on this forum can tell you a bit about how well they work.

I'd also highly recommend you read the post in my signature, since I think it'd help you get more out of sailnet.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
