Prop Speed

Has anyone used this product? It is very expensive and do not want to waste my money. propspeed.com To cover my prop it will cost $400 -$500 dollars. I am using a self service yard and other boat owners are giving this product high marks.

If a dirty bottom slows you down what do you think it does to your boat

That's a pretty nutty number, even for a boat. Buy yourself a can of petit Zinc Coat Pettit Zinc Coat Barnacle Barrier for around $20, put on three coats and your prop should be fine. Works for me.

We used it on a lark about 2 seasons ago. Here is south florida it keeps down the build up on the prop and makes it easier to scrap off for about a season but in the long run we wouldn't suffer the expense a second time.
