Iron keel bolts

I am interested if anyone has used steel rod coated with PTFE, "teflon" to attach cast keel to wooden boat. Teflon is supposed stop any reaction between different metals. PTFE is used on steel bolts that are used on oil rig plateforms in salt water. So..... has anyone done the same for steel cast keels?

Should gray casy iron 40 rod be used for keel bolts in a steel cast keel. Or would ASTM A439 be better?
