Bowsprit

Could anyone tell me if it is possible to put a bowsprit on a knockabout schooner???

Yes, it is possible... then again, you could put a bowsprit on a Searay... but without more information, it isn't reasonable to expect any more detailed an answer than that.

It is possible, but it will change the balance of the rig. Move the center of effort forward and she'll be hard to keep on the wind.
All sailing is about balance.
