This one's got me stumped....
It's not often a production boat design stumps me, this may well be a custom one-off.. Spotted this past summer, around 40-42 feet. Saga and Outbound came to mind but it's not Saga and Outbound isn't shy about badging and there was no visible builder's mark/name. "New Latittudes". Anyone have any idea?
Another boat that caught our attention this past summer was this (clearly) Bob Perry beauty. "Wild Horses", at 60 feet or so, looked like the ultimate fast cruiser.

Thanks Jack... so it is an Outbound after all. Interesting because all the Outbounds we've seen down south were clearly identified.
The Perry boat I'd already sorted, just thought it was interesting enough to post.
How did your round the island trip go this year?
In July we had a good sail up to Hardy. Just after we crossed the Nahwitti Bar we shut down the engine to sail. There was a huge squeal and the smell of burning rubber; we had a seized alternator.
I was concerned about being close to the shore so I contacted Comox CG. They sent the Cape Sutil out to baby sit us while we sailed back across the bar. After a great gennaker run back to Hardy, we docked under sail at the government dock and waited for a new alternator to get shipped up. It took more time than we had so we came back down the inside.
Octopus Islands was great and we had a great sail from Musket Island to Silva. We did power through Welcome Passage.
I am headed out on Friday to teach a competent crew / day skipper on Twist, the C&C 115. We will be in the Ganges area for the course; it will be crowded.:(
Both of them lovely looking boats. BP's design looks to have a bit of insiration from Daschew.
Interesting this came up. A few months ago I was working on a boat at the outer end of E dock at Canoe Cove and walked by New Latitudes many times. I originally thought Saga but the windows weren't the same. Outbound was my only other thought but there are no identifying marks on the boat and I never did write down the HIN.

I thought it looked like a Nordic 44, on steroids.
WILD HORSES is a much newer design than the Nordic 44 and was a development of my 57'er STEALTH CHICKEN. In terms of hull shape the Nordic and WH share almost nothing in common. But I can see where you could imagine a Nordic on steroids. But isn't that against the law?
