Question Need wiring diagram

Hey. I am hoping to find where I can get the wiring diarams for a 1980 Morgan Out Island. She was a partial burn in the stern area and I am going to rebuild her and need the info. Any help would be greatly appriciated. I realy need the entire boat, not just the engine compartment if at all possible. Thanks.

Re: Need wiring diagram

On a 32 year old boat there is a pretty good chance that the current wiring bears little relationship to the original.

Red face Re: Need wiring diagram

Well, poo. I guess maybe if I could get a photo of the breaker box and a list of where the wires might go might help. Give me a general idea of what to look for. Saw a post for a smaller O/I but I don't think it will do any good.

Re: Need wiring diagram

Electronic technicians use something called a signal generator to trace circuits. You should be able to get one at Radio Shack. They put a low level audio signal on a circuit which you can pick up at the other end. This is a lot more labor-intensive than having a circuit diagram, but it should enable you to create such a diagram.

Hope this helps.
