Santana21 Keel
There is a Santana 21 for sale that I've looked at. It is in reasonable shape for the price, but the keel shroud is rusted badly, and the swingkeel needs to be re-fiberglassed. The keel shroud is attached with what looks to be six new stainless steel bolts. The keel shroud seems to be an inch thick, but I can't be sure.
Has anyone had any experience with this repair? If it is an entire inch thick then I could probably clean it up and repaint it and it should be strong enough to hold the swingkeel with it's single bolt. Any information would be appreciated.
