Which Boat to Buy

Memory failed me. I went back to the boat today and found this to be a "behind-the-mast" furler rather than in-mast. Much like the jib furler. So luckily, the spar was unmodified. I think I give it a try but will ultimately buy a new/used main and go back to tried and true slab reefing. Don't like the idea of roachless, battenless mains.

You're right - that makes it a lot easier to change over to slab. I've seen a few of those systems but not for a while. Good luck
