Keel pocket seam recommendations needed.

This is the keel pocket seam on my recently purchased 1971 W.D. Schock Santana 27. As you can see there is some irregularities along the seam. Aside from the front of the pocket which is shown, the rest of the seam appears to be close and tight.

I would be interested in your thoughts as to what avenue I should pursue or what I need to know about this situation.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or advise would be greatly appreciated.

remove all the bottom paint and glass her. then fair her...
then epoxy
then paint
goood luck
if you had seen it before purchase i would advise to run like hell--but now she is yours--repair is only way to fix it--is only way i can think of to repair that--is scary mess to me..i like encapsulated keels---they dont do that.....

I suggest getting that rust out while you have her out of the water. Get to bare metal in every rusty spot, coat with POR 15 or coal tar epoxy. It's hard to tell what is going on at that seam. Maybe that is sealant squeezing out, or it could be a really crappy casting job. Either way you want to make sure it is fair. West System makes a fairing compound.
