T27 Center-Board Maintenance?

Hey y'all,
I was wondering if anyone has ever had blisters in their CB well? If so, how did you reach them. (Grind open, clean and repair?) My CB well is 2ft deep and 2in wide. Any other suggestions would be great too. Thanks!
