One thing we agreed on is that synthetic longjohns are a killer!
I have a few things posted too, as an habitual wintersailor:
Sail Delmarva: Winter Sailing
Every boat is different. Mine has a very dry and well protected cockpit, for example, so I put little emphisis on boots. On the other hand, I do carry a boot and glove-drier, for the reasons he gave. There is nothing like and endless supluy of dry clothing to keep spirits high.
