How to add images images to your posts and replies

The new Sailnet Community allows to add up to 3 images to any new thread or reply.

Below are the instructions on how to add images to your threads and
posts.

First - Graphical Images are limited to 50k in size and 800 x 600 pixels. We allow for the uploading of .jpg .gif .jpe .jpeg and .bmp images.

In addition we allow the uploading of pdf files up to 100k in size.

We will be adding an automatic image resizing feature in the next few week, so for the time being please resize your large images before uploading them to Sailnet so that they do not exceed the defined limits.

To attach images to your posts select the button in the Quick Reply Box or if you are starting a new thread click on the Manage Attachments button in the "Additional Options" displayed below the "Post New Thread" screen (see below)

After clicking the Manage Attachments button a new screen will be opened up.

When you click the "Browse" button (see below) - a new window will open that allows you to select images from your computer for uploading. After you have selected up to 3 images - YOU MUST CLICK ON THE 'Upload' button to upload the images to the SailNet server. Once the images have uploading properly and have been check to make sure they are valid images and have not exceeded to defined limitations you should select the "Close Window" button at the bottom of the 'Manage Attachments' screen.

After you have closed the window you are returned to the posting screen where you may submit your post or preview your post before submitting the information.

Don't worry about making a mistake because you can always goes back and edit your posts.

More about "editing" later.

Enjoy!
