RSS Feeds

You will notice an RSS button at the top of every SailNet forum and various RSS and XML buttons at the bottom of various SailNet website screens.

RSS, an acronym for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary, is an XML based protocol that allows for the automatic distribution of Internet content from news related sites via RSS aggregators or readers.

RSS enables you to add up-to-date content from the SailNet website to your Yahoo, Google or MSN desktops and to automatically feed information from the SailNet website to your favorite newsreader software.

A popular Newsreader is known as Feedreader and can be found here if you'd like to experiment with RSS feeds to your desktop.

Another is Pluck:

The SailNet Blogs also have an RSS Feed available.

Enjoy!

Also, the latest version of Firefox has a "Live Bookmark" feature that takes advantage of the RSS feeds. It's dead simple to use. Just click on the orange broadcast button on the location bar while viewing the desired site.

I use the RSS feed, but it is overwhelmed by the news feeds. Is there any way to separate the news feeds from the rest in the RSS feeds?
