In the dark blue title bar above each post, at the right side, you see a number, a scales icon, and a bad posts icon. Other people can click on the scales to add to your "reputation", if they think it was a good post.

The question was what is the green box and what is Rep Power. Do you know the answer to that question?

Rep power and the little green box are two different things.

"Reputation Power" is a numerical indicator or the usefulness of the posts you have made here based on the ratings others give your individual posts by clicking on the little scale in the top right corner of each post. I suppose it is designed to give those reading your advice some indication about what others think of the quality of your advice...higher numbers are better. I can't figure out why surfesq would have a rating of one...<grin>
Sorry SurfEsq...couldn't resist. Actually if no one rates your posts...the rep doesn't move.

Thanks for actually answering the question Camaraderie. I was wondering what that was!
Like so many people on this site, our little friend likes to just post something in order to participate even if it is completely irrelevant. It drives me batty! Yes, ironically somebody posted a negative rep for me on this thread...hmmm who that be? lol.
Here is something funny...I have 12 positive points but so many people dog me that I am a lowly one! Thankfully, you cant have a minus rep power I suppose.

You are probably asking what is RPM which is Revolutiions of the motor Per Minute and your user manual will tell you the best setting of the revolutions per minute for long voyages to maximise the efficiency of fuel and minimise the engine "strain" . Always check the antifreeze and change it out each year, but can't dump it overboard under federal law. Just like your engine oil. If caught, that boat is no longer your boat. And check your oil level, clean the filters, the water cooling one.....too, it gets sea weed and detrus caught in it, which can cause a motor to run too hot regardless if everything else is ok. You should be able to get a straight answer on here, but people are not as helpful as they once were, or perhaps as they might be in person when you can know which boat they live on at the marina. Don't feel bad, any question on a site like this should generate interest, not confusion or jokes. Have fun sailing is another part of life. You have to work at it to have fun. Dottie.

Er, Dottie,
With all due respect, that is a super answer to some question, but not the one being asked, which was about the little information block in the upper right of each post shown on this board.
One minor tip, it helps to read the thread before posting an answer.

One thing that has not changed about this site. There is no shortage of people willing to just make up an answer even if they don't understand the question. lol.
