Now what?

OK, what is going on now?
I used to sign in and click on "new posts" and get a list of posts going on for pages.

It is the only way I can keep up (manually) since the email notification does not work (Sailnet says it is my ISP and my ISP says it is Sailnet - what else is new in the computer world?)

Now I do the same thing and get only one or two of the latest posts.

I get the feeling that there is someone who does not have the courage to just tell me to my (internet) face that I should move along and is just screwing with me so I give up completely. Paranoid thinking I know but what else is going on?

It will work because I won't bother to log off, look at "todays posts", log on to post, log off to view other posts till I need to log on again, etc.

You win, my loss.

Maybe a Admin could remove my account completely and let me start all over again?

It really irks me because there is so much info from good folks here and I like to learn.

Not exactly sure what the problem is, but I fixed mine by subscribing to the RSS feeds with Microsoft Outlook. Now, I get everything posted in Outlook almost as soon as they are posted in SailNet. Then, when I want to respond to one, I just log onto SailNet and reply. Seems to work for me pretty well. Haven't missed but one or two of the threads since I started the RSS feeds...about a year.

I use Outlook Express and am not a whiz.

How does that work?

Are you still getting the "previous unread posts" on cruiser's forum? I never saw that facility on Sailnet.

I get a whole list and then further down is a list that is headed with this:

The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts.

I also get emails from subscribed-to threads.

When here I used to get a whole list (after being logged on) but now I get only a few. The only way to get to a longer list is to log off and click "todays posts". Then I get the list.
