Question Where can I get metric sized cleats & deck fittings?

Hi,

I am posting a few treads because I am restoring an older Bavaria 960 from 1985. The most frustrating aspect of the job is finding the fittings in metric sizes. Can you suggest a supplier?

Thanks,
Pam

Pam,

The first question is do you need to keep your fittings metric? If you are through bolting you may find that the holes will accept a standard sized bolt and are spaced properly as well. You may need to enlarge the holes a bit, but I think you will find everything to work out alright.

Also keep in mind that quite a bit of the hardware is made in countries that use the metric system, i.e. Lewmar, Ronstan, spinlock, etc.

If you are just looking for screws then try your local chandlery.
