Search function not functioning?

I was searching for the word "wanderer", as I'm looking for info on the Pearson 30 Wanderer. I got exactly one hit, but I later found a couple threads that had the word "wanderer" in them. So now I'm wondering why the search function did not find those threads - and also what other threads it did not find.

Yes, it is "on". But for reasons no one has ever adequately explained, the Sailnet "search" feature works about as well as Smackdaddy sails.

Most folks find they get better results by using a search engine like yahoo or google and prefacing their search terms with "sailnet forum" followed by whatever search terms they might have used in the regular SN search function.

Good luck, and Welcome to Sailnet.

Very funny.

Let's see you throw down some mojo on a Global Regatta course, pal. I think there are a couple in your area. Then you can address me as "Your Grace" when you come slithering back here with a 1:30+ on the Short Course!

And, of course, we'll have to re-name your boat to "Sailnet LoadTime".

Thanks, mon.

Two weeks from today I quite likely will be the happy owner of the aformentioned vessel. I shall of course report to the appropriate forum accordingly.

Good luck with the purchase!! Here's hoping you're on the water soon.
